If I Joined Pro In-Store, How Do I Activate My Account Online?

Modified on Fri, 24 Apr at 1:47 PM

If you joined GameStop Pro in a store, you need to create an online account to activate and manage your membership.

This does not create a second Pro membership—it simply links your in-store Pro to an online account.

Step 2: Enter Your Information (This Is Important)

When creating your account, make sure the following details exactly match what was used when you signed up in store:

  •  Email address
  •  Full name
  •  Phone number

⚠️ If this information doesn’t match, your Pro membership won’t link correctly.

Step 3: Verify Your Account

After selecting Save & Sign In, GameStop will send you a verification code

  1. Check your email for the code
  2. Enter the code on the verification screen
  3. Your account setup will complete automatically

Once verified, your Pro membership should be active online.

Common Issues (and What Not to Worry About)

You usually don’t need to contact GameStop if:

  • You don’t see Pro immediately before completing verification
  • You’re prompted to create an account (this is expected)
  • You had to re-enter information to match your in-store signup

These are normal steps in the activation process.

⏱️ When Should I Contact GameStop?

Contact GameStop only if:

  • You completed all steps and your Pro status still doesn’t appear
  • You never receive a verification code after multiple attempts
  • You believe your in-store information was entered incorrectly and can’t complete setup
