Pro Auto-Renewal helps ensure your Pro membership never expires.
On your Pro anniversary, your membership is automatically renewed using the original payment method on file.
✅ Why Enable Auto-Renewal?
With Auto-Renewal turned on:
- Your Pro membership renews automatically every year
- You don’t have to worry about manual renewal
- Your Pro Points won’t expire due to a lapse in membership
How to Sign Up for Auto-Renewal
Option 1: During Checkout
You can opt in to Auto-Renewal:
- Online
- In-store
Requirements:
- An active Pro membership
- A valid credit or debit card
Once enabled, your card will be charged automatically each year on your Pro anniversary.
Option 2: Through Your Account Profile
You can also set up Auto-Renewal at any time through your GameStop account:
- Sign in to your account on GameStop.com
- Go to your Account Dashboard
- Under your Name and Account Information, select “Set up Auto-Renewal”
Updating Your Payment Method (Important)
Auto-Renewal always uses the payment method saved in your GameStop account.
⚠️ Very important:
- Store associates and Customer Service cannot update your payment method
- Payment updates can only be made by you through your account on GameStop.com
When You Don’t Need to Contact GameStop
You usually don’t need support assistance if:
- You need to update the card used for Auto-Renewal
- You want to turn Auto-Renewal on or off
- Your renewal is scheduled for your Pro anniversary
- You were told to update payment information yourself
These actions are self-service only by design.
⏱️ When Should I Contact GameStop?
Contact GameStop only if:
- Auto-Renewal is enabled but not appearing on your account
- Your Pro status didn’t renew after your anniversary despite a valid payment method
- You’re unable to access your account to manage Auto-Renewal
