Most delays are resolved automatically - no need to contact us unless your status hasn't changed for an extended time.
Order Status (Entire Order)
In Progress
We’ve received your order and are processing it.
- Processing usually takes up to 24 hours
- Pre-orders are processed once they’re available
- Some items may be temporarily out of stock and ship once available
On Hold – Payment Declined
We couldn’t complete your payment.

Update your payment details by selecting Edit Order to resume processing
Partially Shipped
Some items have shipped or are ready for pickup. Remaining items are still processing.
✅ Check Order Details for item-level status
Shipped
Your order has shipped or is ready for store pickup.
✅ Tracking or pickup details are available in Order Details
Delivered
Your order was delivered or picked up successfully
Cancelled
Your order was cancelled and you were not charged
Returned
Your order was returned for a refund or replacement
Item Status (Individual Items)
Some items may move faster than others. Here’s what each tiem-level status means:
Order Placed
Your order was submitted and is being sent to our system
Order Received
We’ve received the order and will begin processing within 24 hours
Awaiting Product Availability
We’ll ship the item as soon as it’s available.
- Pre-orders are charged about one week before release
- You are not charged until the item ships
On Hold – Payment Declined
We couldn’t process payment for this item.

If your order includes multiple items, they may ship separately. Always check item-level status inside Order Details before reaching out.
When You Don’t Need to Contact GameStop
- Your order is In Progress or Order Received (processing can take up to 24 hours)
- Your item shows Awaiting Product Availability (this includes pre-orders and temporary out-of-stock items)
- Your order is Partially Shipped (remaining items are still processing)
- Your refund status is Refund Issued, but still within your bank’s normal posting window
- Your shipment is Awaiting Carrier Pickup (tracking updates may lag)
⏱️ When Should I Contact GameStop?
In most cases, your order will continue moving without any action needed. Contact GameStop only if one of the following is true:
✅ Contact Us If:
- Your order or item status hasn’t changed for more than 72 hours after showing Preparing for Shipment or Awaiting Carrier Pickup
- Your order shows “Delivered,” but you haven’t received it within 48 hours
- Your order is stuck in “On Hold – Payment Declined” and you’re unable to update payment
- Your refund shows “Refund Issued,” but hasn’t posted after the timeframe shown by your bank or payment provider
- You received a shipment confirmation, but tracking hasn’t updated for several days
